SOUTHERN STOMP

Get ready to kick up your boots for a celebration of twang and toe-tapping tunes at Gore’s inaugural Southern Stomp; a country weekender full of incredible talent, walk up concerts and line dancing.

Documentary

Directed by Gore’s own Jenny Mitchell and Dunedin filmmakers Wade McClelland and Bradon McCaughey, Capital of Country Music chronicles the 50 year history of the Gore Country Music Club and tells an emotive musical story about the power of volunteering. This film stars country music legends such as Dame Lynda Topp along with countless club members including Max and Coral McCauley, Kayla Mahon, Peter Cairns and Erica Byars.

There will be Capital of Country Music screenings throughout the 2025 Tussock Country Music Festival.

ABOUT THE CLUB

The Gore Country Music Club’s Club Day is held monthly from February through to December. The clubs welcomes everyone to this afternoon with a light afternoon tea being offered.
